in Loans
I just wanted to make people aware of a con that I have stupidly been a victim of. Desperate for cash at xmas I had been applying for loans on line , 2 weeks before xmas I recieved a letter saying I had been accepted for a £750 loan and attached was a payment card which I had to take to a pay point and activate by paying £35 and my loan would be paid into my account within 24 hours. Of course there never was a loan and when I called the number was constantly left on hold. The letter was from
APS Financial Services LTD, 1 The Green, Richmond, Surrey TW9 1PL.
TEL NUMBER 08432897759 just in case anyone else recieves aletter like this please dont activate the card .

Who will no doubt either say "its a civil matter please go away" or say "here have a crime reference number now behold as we do naff all"
The OP has an address for the company in question so a letter before action followed by a county court claim seems a good way to go. Could also submit a formal complaint to them and request a deadlock letter or wait 8 weeks then go to the FOS which will cost them in the region of £500 so they may want to avoid that one0 -
I'd be a bit worried about the personal information you probably gave them to apply for the loan? If you did so, I'd be worried about about identity fraud, and be more vigilant towards my existing accounts, and also checking regularly that nobody's setting up anything in my name.0

Aren't APS the same people who run Cashplus? Did the letter mention a website such as https://www.mycashplus.co.uk or https://www.apsgroup.com? Its all very confusing As before searching for google for the address I'd say you've bought a prepaid mastercard (Was it a mastercard attached with your name etc?)
However searching on google for that address brings up accountants at that address, so it could be a forwarder?0 -
During my search I came up with all of those companies but I also came up with a company called Padayking who states that their web site is operated by APS Financial Services Ltd (registered number 6345830) whose registered address is APS Financial Services LTD, 1 The Green, Richmond, Surrey TW9 1PL. So naturally I tried calling their number and guess what ?the number is not in use. I have contacted my bank and made them aware of what has happened and also paypoint as the card was a swipe card with a paypoint logo.0

I'm really confused on how you got paydayking? Their address is:
115 St Andrews Road
Coulsdon
surrey
CR5 3HJ
United Kingdom
Where did you get that they were at the same address0 -
Not sure you are looking at same one as me but on their about us page it clearly states that the website is owned and operated by aps financial services and then on the terms and conditions page it states the address of aps, there is in fact no other address on this site just an unavailable phone number.I cant post a link but it is paydayking and it is uk0
