I can only quote what is written on JL site under the product info.

Totally agree and understand, - I was just trying to be helpful and posting the info on the Which site. I did read a review on revoo.com - see here - which states 'can't choose spin speed but realise this is a reflection of purchase price of the model.' so would seem to confirm the Which review, however the same reviewer goes on to state 'Easy acces door' which totally is the opposite of the Which review (third review down the page)

(I personally would look for a 1400 or 1600 spin speed as it saves on drying time (both natural and tumble drying). Also states it has a noisy spin

Funny that. I was told when I had my new washing machine by the guy fitting not to touch anything over 1200 spin speeds. As the machines get wrecked quicker and don't do the clothes much good.

    But each to there own.

Good to see Germany has still got a manufacturing industry for white goods, unlike the UK that has comparable wages.

Agreed, the UK is full of scummy bankers. Worst economy in the developed world, only one still in recession...

The washing machine in £20 cheaper at Bennetts btw.

Worth checking where it was manufactured. I have been told that the cheaper Bosch washers are now made in Spain rather than Germany and aren't quite what they were.

Yes, jbro, I have a relative in the industry who has told me that the lower end Bosch washing machines are made in Spain! Seems there is no way now for the consumer to find out where a product like this is made!
Apparently, the Bosch Exxcel range are still made in Germany. I bought the Exxcel 7 (recommended as machine of the year last year by Which?) back in the summer. No probs yet - that's the kiss of death!
  • I need a new washer but its gona have to be silver or black. Thanks to all thes posters though as some interesting points raised :0)
