Self scan machines at Tesco

Does anyone know if there is a Tesco in Cardiff which has self-scan machines? I know that the one on Western Avenue doesn't (grrr) but are does the one near the Bay have them? Would like to know because it makes voucher useage so much easier!!

Tesco Bar Hill has them and that is where I live in term time, but when at Uni, need a place to scan all my lovely coupons!

You could try emailing Tesco Head office - thats what i done when i needed help! Otherwise try phoning the store and ask!

There's an old thread on MSE somewhere which says where there are self-scans. Try 'search chat forum' above for 'Tesco self-scan' and you may find it. If you have no luck, then ask your question on the 'Tesco Misprices Discussion Area' thread. They will know!!!!

I assume you are talking about the tills that let you scan things to buy rather than the things in tesco on the wall that tell you the price.

Do you mean Penarth? - Then Yes they do have them, I have used these ones and are very impressive with conveyor belts.

Asda staff seem to be ok with vouchers you haven't bought - tried this at the bay and pentwyn. Checkout assistant said official rule was she could accept is 1/3 off your shopping but I payed the whole of my shopping using the self scan till at ASDA pentwyn - no one stopped me. No other supermarket vouchers allowed anymore at ASDA.

Tesco at Spytty Park retail Park has self scan tills.

Thanks everyone! will deffo try out Asdas self scan machines although would hate to lose out on all those clubcards....will try the penarth (?) one if i can find it. where is spitty park?

THe one in Talbot Green (near Llantrisant) just of junc 34 of M4 has them - installed last week - used them today
