Fitbug and Nectar ?

Has anyone tried the FitBug and has anyone tried the Fitbug & Nectar? They seem to be offering either £49 for 3 months or £9 a month (bit of a no brainer that one!) but not really sure what it does or if the offer includes the fitbug machine itself and if its even worth it. Have also seen you get points for steps- is this right?

Just wondering if anyone can explain it in English for me- Sainsburys obviously can't!

Nectar and Fitbug.com have partnered up to give their members a way to earn Nectar points by living a healthy lifestyle.

As a Fitbug member Nectar points can be earned in the following ways:

Activity

6,000 to 9,999 steps per day = 1 Nectar points
10,000 to 11,999 steps = 5 Nectar points
12,000 steps and more = 10 Nectar points

As an added incentive, you collect another 10 Nectar points should you have more than 5 days in a week with 10,000 steps or more!

Nutrition

To keep you motivated, we will reward you with 1 Nectar point for each day you log at least two meals into the Fitbug Meal Tracker.

Fitbug Online Shop

Collect 1,000 Nectar points for each Fitbug membership you purchase and an additional 2 points for every £1 you spend.

This means that if you purchase a 12-month Fitbug membership for £84, you will receive 1,168 Nectar points.

Should you decide to go on a monthly contract at £9 per month after your initial membership term, you will collect 18 points per month!

Fitbug currently has three price plans available:
£84 for a 1 year pre -paid membership
£27 then after three months £9 a month (12 month contract)
£49 for 3 months

Seems like it does.

Will there be a price increase for the new Bug?

The price of the new Bug will be exactly the same as the previous one in if you are replacing it, or are a new Fitbug member.

Is anyone a fitbug member? Does the bug work? I've had so many pedometers, and they all fall off my waistband and get lost! If they worked in the first place ...
