Steak and kidney pudding in a slow cooker?

Hi everyone,

I have a slow cooker which I love and cook lots of stuff in, including filling for steak and kidney pie. My DH loves steak and kidney pudding which I am going to attempt on New Year's Day.

The question is: can I make up a steak and kidney pudding as normal and then steam it/cook it in the slow cooker instead of steaming in a normal pan?

I always use my slow cooker for steamed puddings including steak and kidney -I usually leave steak and kidney in for about 8 hours and I don't precook the meat just brown it in a frying pan .
