  • Hello I33na. It's never too late to start saving - they add up quite quickly which is very rewarding.

Yeah, at last, another two little gold beauties. If only I could just find a few more though.

  • Hi 133na

Yes, I do collect 20ps. There was a challenge last year for this, but I don't think there is one for this year (well, not that I've seen) https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/774299. But I keep collecting because I just can't spend them anymore (it really can be addictive). And every little helps to clear those debts.

So true it is addictive. I remember many yrs ago when these small 5p came out( I was very young) my (late) Dad hated them as they would fall through the smallest of holes in pockets so he started putting them in a glass milk bottle.
I have done this also. I hate having them in my purse and and don't like them mixed with 1p and 2p. As all I can picture is a Glass bottle with the sun reflecting of silver coins on the kitchen sill in the morn.(no coppers allowed.)

    Hi guys,

£4 for me today. I did have another one but I had to spend it in a shop as I felt guilty giving a £20 note for £1.95 of purchases, and I didn't want all that change sitting in my purse waiting to be spent. Annoying though. The £4 I nicked off my sister - swapped them for £1 coins and don't think she's noticed yet!! :money:

  • I headed for town today to bank my £28 when the bus driver gave me another one (bless him). So, that's £30 this month. I've now passed £100 which I didn't think I'd be able to achieve.
