I have a few now. I tend to keep 3 or 4 in the little zipped off compartment of my purse for 'emergencies' (not enough cash for the shopping!). The rest I siphon off into a little wooden set of drawers with a carved chicken on the top. DH discovered my secret stash in the pretty tea set on the dresser last year so hopefully these will be safe!

BTW, also have a weird fascination for collecting the new 20p's - so shiny and cute...

I saved £2 coins last year too for Christmas and it worked a treat, so my target for Christmas 2010 is £200.

I've finally found a £2 coin - unfortunately we are still snowed in so haven't been able to get out and about to find anymore. However, whilst gutting the bedroom this morning I've finally found one!
  • Grrrr had to break my NSD today to buy toilet rolls. We walked and I bought the children a little choccy bar too. It came to £3-09 and I didn't have any copper on me, so I missed out on a potential £2. Gutted :-(

Woohoo! New shiny 2010 thread - thanks Buffy! Good luck with paying off your loan.

So, my first £2 of the new year is now in my pot, I am aiming for £150 this year as I already have something in mind to spend it on! Fingers crossed.
