I cashed in £60 worth the other day so they're back in circulation now
I used the money to pay for our hotel for the Monday night after Glastonbury festival. We're saving again now - I'd like to get to £100 by October as that will pay for our deposit for next year's Glastonbury tickets. We're currently up to £8

Don't worry about it being a nice pot, use the cases from 35mm films, each tub holds 18 £2 coins, when it's full seal it and hide it out of your way. I did this a number of years ago and surprised myself by having a few thousand stashed away as my not just rainyday fund but my roof caving in fund.....
Unfortunately the roof caved in and I've got to start from scratch again but it certainly built up quietly without me noticing it too muchRainbowLiberty0 -
