  • BUMP! Just a reminder that this sale is on now. I managed to get the 2 items I was after (small fort and sheriff's office) - did everyone else get what they wanted? Big thanks to OP for letting us know about this.

    Does anyone know how 'damaged' the boxes are usually? Are they just a little dented, or have they been sat on by an elephant!?? Just asking as I am thinking about ordering something as a present.

    We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

    Flat rate of postage is £6, so you should def shop around, although most of the prices still seem to work out cheaper even with this, especially if you are after bigger/multiple items.

    Not all of the stuff is damaged, I think some is discontinued as it doesn't come up on the playmobil website?

    i have ordered from the damaged box sales a couple of times and it varies hugely from not damaged at all to completely sat on by an elephant to use your turn of phrase. I ordered the tricepatops play set and it was sooooo squashed that the triceratops was also damaged (rest of bits in the play set were ok) - I rang them and they arranged are placement for the damaged tricepatops within a couple of weeks.

    "sat on by an elephant"

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    That must have been one heck of a Christmas party at the Playmobil offices.

  • I got some Playmobil bits at Boots today in their 50% off sale: Guinea pig set, researcher in boat and whale. There were a few other sets too.

    I decided against going for it in the end, I would rather have 50% off to make it worth while, or by it secondhand in excellent condition off of ebay.
