Any advice at all on PPI?
Options
Hi all. I have a loan with Natwest and the balance is currently at £8506.82 (£9000 originally over 5 years). I haven't got PPI on it as Natwest weren't offering the service at the time, and going through threads on here I'm pretty relieved I haven't got it with them to be honest. I would like some sort of PPI though, just for peace of mind, in case of unemployment. I've looked around and the company British Insurance seems to be the cheapest for what I want. It would be around £7/month to cover £185/month. I'm wondering if anybody else has been with this company and had trouble claiming and what not. Any advice on PPI would be a real help, as I want to make sure I would be purchasing something that I could fall back on.
Thanks a lot,
Martyn.

I would post your question on the insurance section of this website for more help, but to put it bluntly, when it comes to insurance cheapest isnt necessarily the best.
You need to check for exclusion periods / waiting periods and also the length of any benefit payment in the event of a claim. Also age/health/medical restrictions.
There are several firms offering PPI policies online, so you could complete a few online proposals and get a comparison of costs v cover before making your final choice.0 -

Thanks for your reply Brock, and thanks for the advice. I'll go post it over in the insurance section, and have a look for a good comparison website too. Thanks again.0
