Asda free wrapping paper

Apologies if this has already been posted. Just back from my local Asda where all wrapping paper is down to 25p, but when you take it to the till they scan a voucher worth 25p for any Christmas items you have bought - therefore the wrapping paper is free. I also bought crackers at £1.50 which had 25p deducted from them and my daughter bought a high school musical jewellery box reduced to 75p and they took 25p off this as well. She also bought their smart price crackers reduced to 20p and got 25p off, so they paid her 5p to take them away. :rotfl: Gift tags are also down to 25p, so you will get these free as well. Hope this helps someone. It is not being advertised instore - a friend told me as she only discovered it when she got to the till. I'm all stocked up for next year now. Hope this helps someone.

Do you have to ask for the voucher or is it automatic they scan it?
  • They just automatically scanned it for me - litle green vouchers with smiley faces on them.

  • They did this last year in Slough - they moved all the paper to the door and handed out the vouchers, encouraging you to take as much as you wanted as you walked in.
  • my list of places to go to tomorrow is getting longer and longer :rotfl:

I didn't know Asda's gave you Smiley Vouchers for the christmas stock. I work there, and thought they were only for giving to customers to buy a different product if the one they wanted was out of stock. :P
