Hi everybody, hope you all had a good christmas....
I am going through the house, and getting rid of everything not used etc, and I have come across an old fax machine, that is in my loft, has I don't want to throw it away, I thought I may give it to charity, but searching on the net, it only brings up PC's..... does anybody have any idea's has to where I may give this to, I know some charities are abit cautious with regards to electrical goods, rather than throw it out......
Any suggestions would be appreicated..
Thanking you

Very few places need fax machines now. I'd check whether it works, and if it does, try posting on freegle - plenty of charities use it to pick things up that they need. Or you could ask your local school.
Charities won't take electrical goods for resale because of the cost of testing them and the liabilities/insurance involved, but they do take them for their own use.
Otherwise, take to your local recycling centre and put it with the electrical stuff and it will go off for recycling (things are sorted for reuse/reconditioning or breaking down to use the materials).0 -
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies.
