Brilliant! However because I'm only on Income Based JSA as a single man, living on my own,I wont be getting it!Once again the singlies get shafted.
Ah well, hopefully I'll get my business up & running in the new year.

According to the DSS,who I phoned earlier,it's one of the 4 you listed plus one of the ones highlighted below.
To qualify for the payment a person must be receiving State Pension Credit, Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance (Income based) or Employment and Support Allowance (Income related) for one day in the period of cold weather and have one of the following:
    • a relevant pensioner or disability premium
    • Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
    • a child under five-years-old
    • an applicable amount of Employment and Support Allowance that includes either the support component or the work-related activity component.
Whatever the bottom one is I dont know. The £25 would come in handy as I had to buy an heater as the E7 heater in the living room is at half power &,as we're getting gas in the spring, the NIHE would'nt replace it!
I also dont get the winter fuel payment.

Is it a one off payment of £25?

I get IS along with DLA, so will I get it?

Its been so cold I have had to put my heating on early everyday. I try to wait until 4pm usually but just couldn't stick it out.

OK, I put my postcode which is Belfast into the link on the benefits board for the government check list.

And it says no cold weather payment from 1st November up until the 30th December.

So does that mean people in Belfast will not get it, only certains areas of Northern Ireland?
