Endowment Compensation Calculations - Mortgage History

Hi - I recently applied for compensation on 2 endowments (Standalrd Life and Scottish Widows) taken out in the late 80's. Good news is that they have both been accepted - but there is a statement that if I can supply a full mortgage history it may change the amount they offer.
So is this worth doing or is it unlikely to affect the end result much, or does it depend completely on the history in which case it is pot luck.
Any comments?
I'd also reinfornce the advise here - it is easy to apply and worth it even if you think you wont get much.

Its swings and roundabouts. At times using real rates would result in more redress and less in others. If you have the full mortgage rate and date history, then the redress would be accurate. If you dont supply it and go with the SVR then the figure will not be accurate but it could be more or less.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Many thanks - so no real way of knowing and a bit of a gamble, maybe I'll save myself the effort and go with their guess.
