[title=http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/dp/wtd_underline.gif]wtd_icon.gif What's this about?[/title]
We've blagged 25 copies of the book The Noughties 2000-2009: A Decade That Changed The World for MoneySavers to read and reminisce.

From the sad events of 11 September 2001, to the vast array of 'Bushisms', explosion of reality TV, the death of the High Street and the credit crunch, it's thought provoking in parts and hilarious in others.

The RRP is £8.99 but it's available for £6.27 from the Book Depository* (inc. delivery).

If you're interested, just reply to this (click on 'post reply') and say:

"I'm a little noughty"

To do this you need to be registered for the Forum (if you're not, when you click reply you'll be taken through the process. It's free, of course).

APPEAL: Please ONLY reply to this thread if you will check back to see if you've won a copy next week. If you don't get in contact promptly, the books will be given away on a first come first served basis, around a week after the giveway's end.

Also, please DON'T email in as your name won't be counted. Nor include your contact details in this thread as, for your own safety, we don't allow personal details on the public forum so your post will be deleted.

This thread will shut on Tuesday 12 January so please get your posts in before then.

[title=http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/dp/wtd_underline.gif]wtd_icon.gif More about the book[/title]
The book's blurb...

"Perhaps more than any other moment in history, the turn of the millennium, and the arrival of a new decade, was marked with a mixture of hope, scepticism and feverish speculation. But the first decade of the 21st century was an awkward child; no-one even really knew its name...From an initial feeling of anticlimax, the decade soon lurched into terror and war, and ended with financial meltdown - all to the soundtrack of irritating ringtones.

This was a decade that freed us up - you could tweet Tony Blair, poke Paris Hilton or just be yourself on YouTube. It was also a decade that tied us down, with fear, suspicion and CCTV lurking on every corner. From the 'Millennium Bug' to bird flu, from 9/11 to 7/7, from Bebo to iPod and Wiki to Wii, one way or another it has been a remarkable decade. This is the story of how the Noughties made a name for itself."

How will the people be chosen?

The 25 people who get a book will be picked at random (we've a special little computer programme to do it) and announced in next week's email (if you don't already get the email go to www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips).

When will I get the book?

The publisher providing these books will send them out directly though, to aid administration, this won't happen until all 25 winners have provided their name and address. So it may take a couple of weeks between the giveaway's end and actual receipt. This thread will be updated to let winners know when they have been sent out.
