Might have been comet-clearance online? You can often grab a bargain on there if you're willing to bid and watch. I got a hotpoint american style fridge freezer from that website for below half price last year :j

I have to agree - this is a TECNIKA not Sony or Panasonic. I was in John Lewis on Sunday and people were fighting to get a returned, broken box telly for 20 % off - I'd snooner spend my time buying a telly and pay full price for a sealed box. By the way, i've still not seen an LCD telly with a normal transmitted picture (ie. Not HD) which beats a good crt television - then again i think that vinyl beats cd everytime.

They didn't say it was a Comet store and even if it was it is likely to have been stocked in more than one store. Also, they didn't say it was a grabbit
