my 2 year old is a complete nightmare at the moment, she has been out of her highchair for 6 months but now needs to be duck taped to a seat to eat (not literally mr nspcc man ) i was thinking a wooden highchair might do the trick, you know the old ones that folded down into a table and chair set. does anyone know where i can get one cheaply please, i have tried kidicare and there £55 i really dont want to spend as much as that.

I honestly wouldn't, they are horrendously impossible to clean!!0

Yea, i heard that but the baby highchairs are small and at 2 (3 in april) i dont think she would fit in one, i need to have a google arround and see what products are out there for toddlers that want to run riot instead of eating.0

My mum got my nephew one link this:

Bought from Tchibo a couple of years ago. Cleans very easily but you'd need to use baby reins to stop the child trying to climb out. They're adjustable.0 -
Yeah i'd go for a booster seat type thing but plastic definitely!0

Thanks sec79 I will put it on watch and have a search arround for those0

i got one of those booster seats that fits to a normal chair and it was only about £20ish think might have been on argos?! I would also recommend against wooden ones we had one and like above poster said they are a nightmare to clean, plastic ones a lot easier. You could also try those ones that clip to the table? Think they are slightly more though but under £30 i think. HTH0

Thanks for all of your help, the ones that clip to the table i think she will be to heavy for to be honest but i have a bid on one of the plastic ones on ebay, when i'm done with it, wich i dont think will be verry long i willl put it on freecycle or hand it in the the homless shelter in town.0

hello! i have a big wriggly 16 month old (very big for his age!) and he has started hating his highchair, but loves sitting in a booster seat (we now have 3), no idea why.
He even trys to sit in it when its on the floor, and this is a boy that never sits!!
I also got him a hoppop changing bag/booster all in one from argos clearance on ebay for £19.99 (which is way cheaper than anywhere else) It won't last long because of the weight limit, but i have used it on trains, in cafes and at home so def worth it!

have you checked the ikea website, they do wooden high chairs, i think they may transform to table chair things. and ofcourse the prices are very reasonable0

Hi we bought a plastic one that attatches to the normal chair, and has a detatchable tray. Its great, ive had it since my son was 6 months old, he's now 14 months and its still good as new. Bought mine off ebay
