  • Picked up the MX-200 last night. For some reason I had assumed it was DAB/FM like the other one so I was initially a bit disappointed that it was internet radio only.

I needent have been. It really is a smart bit of kit. Got it working very quickly. Despite being mono sound quality is very good, especially for spoken word. The option to listen to iPlayer stuff "on demand" is great, and I was able to get it streaming MP3s from my laptop which was sittig upstairs easily.

My router is upstairs and a couple of rooms away from teh radio so i was a bit concerned about getting a signal but it works fine.

Only quibble I would have is that you can only access 3 presets via the machine itself. otherwise you have to use the remote, which is bound to get lost.

But overall very good for £42. :)

yahoo, mine arrived, thank you Mr M & Mr S - great bargain, set up within minutes, sound quality very acceptable - actually pretty good, no DAB cutout, gonna have a good play with my new toy today - as am stuck indoors due to snow and temp of -9 !

Mine is fine in FM and Dab but I don't live far from the mast. Very pleased with quality of sound is much better than I had read in the youtube review in the link I gave in 1st post

We bought a Roberts DAB digital radio last year and I'd have to say that we weren't that impressed. DAB still cuts out a lot and the sound isn't that much better in my opinion. Sometimes we switch it to the normal FM mode and there's no difference.
  • Thank you savemoney and everyone here - I have been wanting a radio and as Santa didn't come up with the goods I have ordered one for myself after reading all your comments. Cheers!

Thanks savemoney for your technical help. Unfortunately I have windows XP so am none the wiser! Going to try a few more things now to see if I can get something to work!
  • :beer:Thanks OP. After I contacted Orange, it was easy to set up the M & S internet radio to my livebox.
It is now on all the time I am on the computer (about 4+ hours daily) tuned to one of the oldies stations.
Goodbye BBC, especially since Wogan left.
