What version of MS Excel are you using? If you goto the tool bar at the top which starts file and ends in help, on Excel.

first of all click on the row starting number 1, then click on window, then split.

This will split your window into 4, you can move the vertical and horizontal bars. Move the vertical extremely to the left, so it is hidden or to the letter A. Move the horizontal bar to the number 1 row.

You can now scroll up and down the spreadsheet without losing your header, so you can clearly see your headings.
