Just been trying to set up a DVD recorder for my parents with their Sony Bravia LCD (it's a KDL-S26A12U if that helps). I switched the TV and the current VCR/DVD player off at the wall, and my mum helped me to move the cabinet around so that I could get at the back panel.

I decided not to go ahead with the installation because I didn't want to damage the SCART socket on the DVD recorder (it's 2 years old, but not installed yet), so I put everything back the way it was, and my mum and I moved the cabinet back into its correct place.

When I switched the mains on, the VCR came on as expected, but the TV won't switch on - everything seems to be connected up the way it was (and I've double-checked it), so I'm not sure what's wrong here.

I know that I was wanting to disconnect the SCART cable from the TV to the existing VCR, but my mum said not to remove it because the cover's come off the plug, making it difficult to disconnect, so I left it alone, but I may have moved the plug just slightly.

I feel like a right idiot for not being able to work out why the TV won't power on when I switch it on again at the set, but does anyone have any ideas?

ETA: It's okay, it was just the power plug on the back of the TV had worked loose just enough to stop power reaching the set, so problem solved.
