I've just had a call lining me up for an on-air comp on Smooth Radio London on Thursday morning

Lakshmi7 posted the comp here - it's the £1000 minute one.

I'm nervous already :) I didn't hear it this morning as I was in work early so will make sure I listen to it tomorrow to see what it's like and try and prepare myself

If anyone heard it today (or maybe last week), can you give me any clues on what sort of questions they ask or how hard it is?

I'll let you know how i get on...... Fingers crossed !!

** update - I've been listening to the radio this afternoon and they said today's contestant only got 3 questions right out of 10, but still no idea what the questions are like
Oh dear....!

good luck are you actually from london? how many people actually enter radio comps that are not in theyre areas? i was wondering about that the other day ya know, and how many radio stations begrudge giving a prize to someone totally not in theyre area? i was going to make a post on it but this seems like a good place, sorry if its off topic a little.

If there's nothing in the eligibility section stating that only londoners can take part in london radio competitions, then it must mean that it's open to all. Personally, im from london, but i take part in other area competitions if there's nothing that says that i have to collect it from a certain area or if it's only open to a specific area. If there is no specifics then I can't see how they can begrudge you as it would be their fault not stating it in their T&C's.

Hi - yes, I live in one of the London boroughs and often listen to Smooth in the mornings (I used to listen to it more when it was Smooth FM and played more old soul music :) )
I tend not to enter radio comps which aren't local to me - that's just a personal choice and I readily admit that if I really wanted the prize on offer, I'd be tempted to enter outside my local area ;)
