How cheap are the carts? Are there compatible ones available?

If you scroll down below the printer description, you will see the Amazon price for the carts.

Read the reviews before you purchase based no what you want to use it for.

There are compats available but from what I have seen they are not vastly cheaper.

I would stay clear of it for now as compats are not available yet end may not be from what I read somewhere about the new canon's.

I bought a canon 6600d to replace my caput canon i865 and ink is expensive and no compats. I have refilled em a few times but it is a pain so tend to use my epson r220 or my brother dcp 120c which is a good cheap multi function with very cheap compats.

It's surprising that there are still no compats for this, over the past 6 months this printer has been on offer in Netto at least twice, so I think that as it's been on sale for quite a while will there ever be compats.
I have a Canon MP760 and it's wonderful and the carts are under £1

If you just want a printer the ip4200 is highly regarded. The ip5200s only difference is it prints faster.

  • Hi, I have the MP130, which is really cheep for carts. My Niece and Nephew needed a printer a few months ago and I was tempted with the 150, but when I could not find cheep carts I decided to track down a few of thw 130's.

I would be very interested to find any cheep carts for the 150 as Tesco are doing a not bad deal on the MP170 (Just slightly better than the 150, but use the same cartridges as the 150)

I've got an ip4200 and the quality on glossy photo paper is better than that from the local photo developers. I've got an 8mp camera and it produces stunning A4 borderless prints.
