Part 1 (Miami) and Part 3 (Las Vegas) had different closing dates for entries, which indicates that it's different comptitions even though it has the same question/prize. This is why Brightonman's post confused me!

I think they're different comps because of the different closing dates, and since each CSI has their own weekly comp anyway and the special Trilogy comps replaced them this week, but I guess go with your gut feeling
