  • I can answer any questions about Clinton's Sale...I work there....

Not all stores are running the 29p/5 for £1 promotion. There are a lot of glitches in the system at the moment, one lady saved £5 today...and she didn't even qualify for any discounts! Make sure you pay attention at the tills too as not all sale stock are scanning at correct price, so the cashier will have to enter a new price.

Packets of Xmas Cards, rolls of Christmas rollwrap, Christmas tags (some of them are plain though), Calendars, Any Lindt Chocolates that are left, pots of dream money boxes (a very limited selection are in the sale, possibly just season ticket fund), Christmas gifts, polar bear plush (so soft!), Eeyore and a decent selection of Me 2 U (not just crap stuff either) are half price.

You can also get money off some of the single boxed cards. Originally £10 I think they are now £6.50. Lots of cards seem to be in the promotion, not all just Happy Birthday, some are for relatives and other occasions and there are quite a few blank too.

    Any questions just ask..
  • I went into my local Clintons (Harlow) while shopping today.

There was a huge stand with loads of tatty teddys and gift sets etc. Also at the back of the store was 5 cards for £3 but i already have loads. There was a whole wall of half price christmas cards and half price tree decorations and bits.

Pleased to say i didnt buy anything for a change ;):p

Thanks managed to get 2 boxes this afternoon. Also got a nice heavy silver keyfob that you put a photo in for 49p and some of the 5 for £3 cards (which were a bargain as each one was originally priced at £2.75).

If this had been posted Boxing Day then I might have had a chance to go and get them at my local stores before they sold out. Oh well
  • I managed to get 3 me to you christmas tree decorations that were half price (£1.49 each) and then found a set of 4 in WHSmith, also half price - about £6 I think. I love anything and everything me to you, so will be looking in Clintons in Birmingham tomorrow if the snow isn't as bad as the forecast!!
 I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?
