Next tiome I'm sitting at our Factory up there waiting for them to actually DO some work, I will.

The night-heater wasnt working.....but the heated seat was, too much. So i had freezing hands and a hot a**e, not a comfortable condition. Because we have trackers fitted to all our vehicles we cant sit there with the engine ticking over to keep warm, we get a phone call telling us that we are wasting deisel....!!!!!!!

Pepe do you still use tacos? Those round paper things that you feed onto a machine, to track your speed etc? This was about 12 years ago now btw. My father used to drive trucks and we used to always have any spare unused disks to play with  Thats when we couldnt afford paper. But the highlight of the year was when the company he drove for used to change their headers (every year they changed them, false economy really) so he used to bring reems and reems of paper home :T

Ohh I will get bored too, I have no idea how I will fill my time. Lots of dog walks I expect. Oh and maybe a train ride to Bath... I tryed to get a £1 hotel somewhere but they were all gone :(

hey katie:D you also a dfw for 2010?

I only have a little CC debt of £220 which I will clear once i get back to the uk, but after reading all the stories and diaries on here it is great inspiration not to get into debt, so without this site my financial situation could be a lot lot worse like so many other young people, but for me MSE is more about saving for a deposit for a house (with the house prices have to start very early i feel) Have been independent now for 3 years so have a mature (boring!) head on my shoulders! I know that technically I am on the wrong board but I like the DFW bunch! Its like a 24/7 episode of loose women! Always there to cheer you up and offer advice.

Good luck with clearing your debts, and saving! Just think about watching it all mount up in the bank! I'm going to use an ISA first and then my Britannia Childs account for savings (you can use it until your 25) so if you have one its useful as the interest is really good.

If you have any questions I would love to try and help :D

Wow - how did you make the cakey things? I was just about to throw out left over veg - could make soup but these sound interesting?

    !

I just bunged all the left over veg - roast potatoes, roast parsnips, roast sweet potatoes, sprouts, carrots, peas, sweetcorn and roast onions into the food processor....whizzed it around a bit, added a couple of large table spoons of flour to thicken it up a bit and then dolloped a large spoon full into some seasoned flour, made into a burger shape and bunged on an oiled baking tray....cooked them for about 40 mins at gas 6, flipping half way through.

    They were just scrummy!

We've changed to Digital Driver Cards now. Biggest pain is the 'Telematics' system in the trucks. Monitors speed, direction, breaks, braking, acceleration, fuel usage, idling etc.....all on real time and monitored by a bored Transport Supervisor. I have to hit over 95% 'perfection all the time.
Of course, I always get more than 98%:p:D
    :D:D stay wonky :D:D

....one-way ticket to Portugal booked !

    Where is Skinty as well?
    And Zed?

I've been a bit ill in December - then went to parents for Christmas.

And then some people try to start rumours...
