How much debt have we DFWs paid off in 2009

  • I started an IVA in 2006. My debt was £17k and i felt sick when i worked out how much trouble i had got my self into since being a student and didnt know what to do.:confused:

    I went to citizens advice who recommended and IVA. (Involuntary arrangement)

    Ive been doing my IVA now for nearly 4 years in July!

    My IVA is finishes in July 2011 and Ill be debt free.:j

    I pay of £220 a month - so in 2009 I paid off £2,640
    but my total paid to date is £9240.00

    i started late last year , and managed to pay off £2065.40 between june and december

    making a total of
    £1,137, 412.25

    In 2009 I paid off £4,824.26 and became debt-free :beer:

    Not sure if mortgage count but that was our focus in 2009. At the start it was £56k, now it's nothing. Paid the whole lot off. Lot's of help from this site, e-baying, saving money wherever possible etc. Still had a holiday and supported a 1 year old. It can be done!

    In 2009 I paid off £6,175 and finally reduced my debt to less than my yearly salary :eek:

    Add this to Nail_Lad £56k and newlywed £6,175 (as they didn't keep a running tally - ooops)

    Grand total so far:
