Need a little inspiration to repay your debts....
This thread asks members of the Debt Free Wannabees forum section to report how much of their debt they repaid during 2009. The results are staggering and prove it can be done. Many of the people in here started in serious debt and never thought they could shift it - they can - they are - they have.
Of the 134 people whove noted it so far (and it keeps being added to, they repaid £1,111,836 - an average of £8,000 each - and the biggest single repayment is £34,000. Amazing stuff.... scroll down the thread to find out more and read through the rest of the inspiration in Debt free wannabee and read the Debt Help guide

Apologies if this has already been started but I did a search and couldn't see it, so thought I'd better get one going!!
Let's see how much us DFWs have paid off in 2009 and start the New Year with a bang.
What do you need to do? Well, post how much you've paid off, and then add it to the running total to create a new total. The next poster does the same, and so on.... Make sure you post the running total in BIG NUMBERS so we can see how well we've done!!
I'll kick things off.
Debt paid off in 2009: £9,946.20 :money:
Running total: £9,946.20
