  • Jeans cost £1 each to buy, gan put them for sale at £4.

Will list at 1pence to get tiny insertion fee, £3.98 postage fee, since thats not too high to make buyer not like the look of it or for ebay to claim that im charging unfairly high fee for postage.

2nd class recorded delivery for a pair of 1kg jeans is about £2 - £2.50,
so leaving £1.50 - £2 profit per each item.

    £1.50/£2 x 160pcs = £240 - £320 net profit. :p:o:rolleyes:

This is why i call people on here dummies, cos they try to act like they are smart and inteligent,
but yet they cant even understand basic business concepts! :rotfl:

In business the only 'fair' is the bus 'fare' home! :rotfl::D:rolleyes:
Thats not just a saying, its a true fact.

Buyers who wanted to get jeans from LWs but cant cos they all been sold now wont like it,
but thats life and thats business.
Sellers buy out stock in mass, and then sell to the consumers for higher prices.

If the consumers dont like it so what??
    Theres 100,000s of them. ;)

    They have 3 choices-
*Get moody and dont buy from seller A for cheap,
*Say ok i missed out on lowest price but il still buy what i want from seller as its the cheapest out there still,
*Or just throw hissy fits, and but from other sellers instead for an even higher price than seller A is offering still.

You dont own LWs ok! MSE doesn't own LWs!
So !!!!!! stop trying to act like you do, and that you have a ''right'' to that stock, and so other people in the world can't buy it too,
or they are only allowed to buy a set amount each!

I dont know you, i will never meet you, we dont share lives with eachother, so why in reality would i care about turning down money, just to help you out instead??

You people need to stop living so deeply in this lovey-dovey community for abit and get into the real world, where there is no such thing as ''greed'' when it comes to business! :o

i think you forgot to add the cost of the jeans because if it costs you 2.50 to post and they cost you £1 to buy you wont be making 1.50 - 2.00 per item!
  • LOL Candy it is the exclamation mark on the bottom right of all our posts :) I seriously wanted to report her one about debt, no matter what she says here it is all "there are no morals in banking, would you rather pay your debt or have £1000s pounds in your pocket." She may say she is giving her view but for a newbie who was seriously asking about how to clear debt, that is very misleading and not very money saving advice.

    Right....

So you're 'gan' (!!!!!!?) sell them for £4 by listing them at 1p and putting postage as £3.98 which gives a total of £3.99 and make a profit of £1.50 -£2.00 because postage is £2 to £2.50

    By my calculation:
Cost to you - Jeans £1
    Postage -£2.50
plus add on listing fee and paypal fee

Then subtract that from £4 love

  • minus the price you paid £160

Yep, minus the £160 purchase price,
    so £80 - £160 profit.

Not much money tbh for the amount of stock,
but if i put the sale price any higher than £4 it wouldnt be so attractive to customers as it wouldnt undercut all the other sellers. :o

If you want to sell yous at a higher markup price to make more profit per pair go ahead n do it,
but i prefer to clear lots of stock fast at a small profit for each.
  • "gan".........MSB (and I have 7 years of living there to back this up).....are you......by any chance.................a Geordie?????
