Sainsburys and Nectar points

I lost my nectar card a while ago, so have been saving the receipts as I was told I could take them into the store to get the nectar points added.
I tried this yesterday (after a two month wait for a new card!) and they refused.
I am really cross as I have reciepts to the value of 3000 + points.
Does anyone know if/why they have changed this policy?

Question
I didn't have my Nectar card with me in-store, can I still claim the Nectar points?
Answer
Sainsbury's will credit the missing points if you visit the sponsor store where you made the purchase within 14 days of the purchase date, with your till receipt, and Nectar card.0 -
Thanks..that doesn't explain why they refused all the reciepts though..and why customer services never mentioned this to me when I ordered my new card..hmph!
Might give them a call and see what they have to say.Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
I wrote to saisbury's when I had a simular problem (although it was a while back- but the recepts were very old) and they refunded the points. Might be worth a tryFiliss0
