Getting Rings Resized

Apologies if this is the wrong forum but couldn't find a more suitable one. Wife has lost quite a bit of weight over the last few months so her wedding and eternity rings a bit loose and she is worried that sooner or later they will slip of and she will lose them. They are quite expensive so ideally would like to take them to an established shop. Does anyone know/recommend any shops? We bought the eternity ring from Ernest Jones - I guess they would do this for us? Any idea of cost?

  • Ernest Jones will do it - roughly around £30 as far as I remember.
Don't tell them your name, Pike! :D

I got mine done at local jewellers for £12.
  • Mine cost £25 a ring, also bear in mine if they are white gold it is recommended you get them re rhodiumed (? spelling) at the same time which will put the price up. Annoyingly I put the weight back on though and am now re losing it :-(

    Hi,
Do a search for goldsmiths (not the chain stores) in your area, I would expect to pay about £10-15 to get it resized. However take it to a jeweller who will themselves use a goldsmith anfd they will chatge anything up to £60.
If you are in the Glasgow area I can give you the address of the best goldsmith's who's prices are very reasonable.

If you bought it from Ernest Jones, and have still got the reciept they should do it for free. They have done on several of mine over the years.
8 months to go till end of the IVA :j:rotfl::T
