Generally any photo paper can be used in any inkjet printer. With different types, you'll get variable results with various paper, so try printing the same thing adjusting setting and options to see what gives you the best results.

But remember, the results on your poundland paper and certain settings when your dad is practising, you will probably get different results on different type/brand of paper. What a certain setting delivers on one type of paper may not be the same on a different type.

Don't know about £ shop paper as they will source it from a variety of places, but at least you won't be wasting expensive paper learning. I've always kept a large pack of cheaper paper for working with until I have my designs just right, then load the more expensive paper.

    Hi Fifo thanks for that.
I thought this was a bargain, do you think I should post it on another board?

Maybe it's just me but I've tried Poundlands 6 x 4 and A4 papers and found them to be useless. Nothing to do with the printer as HP paper works perfect.

Whilst it would be true to say that the paper is cheap to try on, it should be remembered that the expensive part of the print - the ink - will be wasted.

There is a store in The Airedale Centre in Keighley (Next door to woolworths, accros from M&S) and there is a big store in Bradford Arndale centre (By Ivegate entrance, used to be Stationary Box)

Ive never had a problem with the £land paper, it prints just as well if not better than teh more expensive photo papaer Ive bought elsewhere.

Poundland photopaper is crap in my experience. Colour reproduction is very poor compared to some Canon photopaer I used. Also, the prints are inclined to remain sticky for a long time. Buy cautiously

It may be the ink/paper combination - I had some paper that i used on my epson R300 and the ink just sat on the top and blurred like crazy, took about 2 days to dry, needless to say it went in the bin...
