Grrr was hoping/planning to get to 14/15 today but blimming headlight has gone now!! why can't these things all go at once LOL, oh well, did better than have so far so onwards and upwards for Feb. This would have been the closest I have got to my target but the encouragement on here helps me look at it like not a failiure but that every day I don't spend is a day won :)

Well done everyone for their NSDs in Jan :j:jbest foot forward, new month tomorrow
Glad to be of service ma'am costumed-smiley-051.gif It's good to see the 'F' word is slowly leaving the neighbourhood, because--as you have said so well--ANY day you don't spend is a GOOD day :)

BigMummaF - please can you give me a  as I managed to blow my pledge out of the window this month, scoring 24 out of my pledged 18!

Well done everyone else who managed to meet their pledge!

As for those of you didn't quite meet your pledge - well done for the NSDs that you did get - you still managed to meet the objective of this challenge, which is to maintain/increase one's awareness of what how and when you are spending, which is invaluable!

So a big thumbs up tp everyone who took part! :money:

See you all on the February thread.
My pleasure Chris & I'm glad to see you're enjoying the Challenge!Thank you for your support & saying what I want to say, in a way that I would say it, if I'd thought of the phrasing before you had :rotfl:

  • Hi. I'm hoping that today will be a NSD so that will be 9/10 NSDs for me. Even though I've not managed the target, I've been a lot better behaved than I would have been without this challenge. Thanks BigMumma for running this thread. See you all in Feb!

i WILL do better in feb

  • Checking in to report one last NSD for January, making it 20/17 I'm super impressed with myself :D

I slipped and slid to corner shop this morning for bread, milk, tv mag and juice but only small spends so I'm not too disheartened. Onwards and upwards for February.

Well done everyone on each no-spend in January

    See you all next month!!

:j I'd like to declare at 15/15 please!! Just done my end of months sums - I am slightly guilty of changing the rules to meet my target, but I've decided not to include petrol or electric cards in my 'spend days'. If they are included I actually only had 5 NSD's :doh:but there were 15 days where I didnt buy any groceries or anything else so I'm happy with that.
Its the first month I've kept a spending diary and it is very enlightening - and scary!! We've spent £105 on electric alone - and we turned the heating off as well _pale_
I am ready to get stuck into February's challenges now - good luck everyone!!
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon ....
  • Declaring at 13/8 :j
Very pleased with myself as 5 days more than my target (even though snow days forced some of those NSDs).
