  • Hi curlygirl, I admire your restraint, doubt I would have settled for beans on toast with the lure of a takeaway that close. Hope you managed to pick up some of BigMumma's suggestions in time.

Hope tonight's dinner is a bit better x

    Yes it was!

I did have BB on T last night.....BigMummaF's suggestions were good (gosh she's resourceful) but unfortunately no cheese/eggs.....the fridge was bare of everything except milk, jam and butter. But I did like the idea of using frozen veg with pasta and cheese (if I have it in next time I forget to provide for evening meal!)

Not a NSD for me today. It was a planned spend for a rescheduled birthday-takeaway from earlier in the month which had been cancelled due to snow. It was for a pal who is recently single again and she is the mum of two small children - so she's had a pretty rough time and isn't likey to get out much in the near future. So as much as I dislike spending money ;), tonight it was money well spent.

Planning a NSD tomorrow but am cutting it fine...........!

I do the veg thing with couscous too nomm-nomm-nomm; there's some good bits in the grocery challenge recipes & there's a site where you can put in the ingredients you have & it suggests things you can make with them.. it might be on the grocery challenge front page too *goes off to have a look-see* Nope, not there..balooga angry-smiley-004.gifI can't remember the name either, so if you don't get there first, I'll ask on the grocery challenge for you if you like.

Found it! I knew I'd seen it somewhere :D It's called COOKING BY NUMBERS & although I've not used it myself, I've heard it's pretty good.

Thought I'd had another nsd but me muvva had an appointment at the hospital this afternoon & I bought the tea :doh:Never mind, it was a bit nippy around the nether-regions by the time we could leave, & she had been a good girl & let the nice doctor-man look in her eyes [can't have a lollypop cuz she's diabetic!] :rotfl:

Doh! I spent yesterday and today (having a bit of a carpy time so bought my lunch yday and some lucozade and painkillers today) :o

Soooo that means I'm not going to meet my extended target of 25 (did make my original 15 though :j)

Going to try and get at least a couple more in before the end of the week, will see how it goes!

Thanks BigMumma, will go and take a look over there..

No NSD for me today, as had to pay my cc bill (groan...) but paid a bit more off this month cos I haven't spent so much elsewhere due to this thread :j.

Well done everyone, keep going, 4 more days to make your targets (or exceed them in a lot of cases).

    Hugs all round
