Hi everyone,
I think I may have been sucked into an advert
(but it does look great!)
I really like the idea of making our own cards and things like that, just was shocked by the price of it. I've found the small one for just over £100 but thats only with one sample cartridge - am now shocked by the cost of extra cartridges (£50+!)
Does anyone have one? Would you recommend it?
Thanks in advance!

I started with the create and have just upgraded to an expression, i scrapbook hence why i wanted to be able to cut 12x12
The carts are expensive but there is a program called sure cuts a lot that enables you to use your fonts on your pc/laptop and it uses svg. files which are easily available on the net, try there website for more details, its pretty easy to use and saves a lot of money

Thanks very much for your reply.
I've been trying to decide about this for the last few days.
I then started to look into the clutterbug (I think that's right!)
I mainly want to for making cards (love the idea of scrapbooking but no idea if I would actually use it, would like to think I'd give it a go thou!)
Would you recommend a cricut over a manual type one? I really think it looks great but am dreading buying one and then spending a fortune on the carts, paper etc and hardly ever using it as its tricky or something.
(I'm a card-making virgin lol!)0 -
Hi Lou. Have you seen the card making thread, lots of us card makers on there and between us we've probably got most of the equipment available. I have the Cuttlebug, only just got it, but up to now I'm very pleased with it. You can emboss with it and also use cutting dies, not only their own make but other makes too.
I know that I wouldn't use the Cricut for what I do and I couldn't justify the expense.
If you've got specific questions go to the other thread and someone should come up with an answer.0 -
Thanks very much - just gone over there, what a great thread!!!0
