just been on the very.co.uk site and they have up to 75%off clothes some real bargains, although i couldnt order any as i dont have an account, although i do have a littlewoods ,which has exactly the same stuff but not as greatly reduced as very.

theres more to it than that ... i think "littlewoods " is in the old club book catalogue style, maybe offering interest free accounts for those who pay thruppence a week on the never never, whereas "Very" is exactly the same stuff but aimed at a younger more price-conscious and internet savvy customer who is more likely to pay with a credit card. i had identical mini catalogues from both a while back. identical apart from the price on every single item was hiked up in the "Littlewoods" version. This sharp practice should be banned.

i use littlewoods and ive just placed an order, i would have saved about £4 buying from Very, but then paid £3.95 delivery so saved 5p!

for £21 i got 3baby girl items and 3 items for my daughter!!

On more expensive things the price difference is higher but on alot of stuff there is only £1 or so difference and you can still pay by credit/debit card on littlewoods too

I use littlewoods more but always double check, i got a cardy for £9 at littlewoods but when i checked Very it was £19 plus delivery, its worth doing your order between the two and working out cheapest to get better deal....but timeconsuming i know :rolleyes:

Morning, I've just been on the very+littlewoods sites, lots of nice stuff but a lot of it is out of stock. Anyone know if they restock the sale items and if so what time is best to be ready at the computer to be in with a chance?

Most of the stuff on very can also be found on additions direct website. I placed an order on christmas eve and got 90% of the stuff I wanted. I went back onto the website on christmas day and found most of the items I have purchased were now sold out.
I'm assuming that when the sales catalogue is sent out (which I usually get three/four times a year) stocks are limited so if you log on the day you get it you're more likely to get your sizes.

Thanks OP - Just got around £160 worth of Hornby 00 engines and wagons delivered for just under £90 (with the 20% code on the codes thread) - that's eldest son happy with his christmas money spends, and his birthday sorted at the same time


BTW - the Devon Flyer set that they want £60 for is only £30 in the Boots sale, although the Thomas set is a good deal at £60

Littlewoods is desperately trying to rebrand itself...the adds on TV in the run up to Xmas were from Very for a few days, when they relaised it wasnt working well and they had left the TV launch too late they went back to Littlewoods, I agree they are trying to get rid of those who pay on the drip...who would call a business Very anyway!!
