Turkey, turkey everywhere!

Options
Evening all,

Quick question just to put my mind at rest, i have TONS of turkey, about 3/4 of the 7.9kg one i got, that is sat in the fridge and there is no way on earth we are gonna get through it before its inedible (i blame guests changing their mind about coming!). Anyway it was a frozen turkey when i bought it so am i ok to freeze the cooked remains? Im sure its ok just want someone to tell me it is, or it isnt cos id hate to throw it when its too late for me to do anything with it

Thank you!

I bought a frozen turkey crown again this year and i notices it said on don't reheat.......i have still frozen my left overs ready for pies/curries etc

The only reason i can think of not to re-heat is if you reheated the whole crown and it would burn the outside by the time it reheated the inside?.....

(Anyone else got any ideas..the meat was definately raw when defrosted)

General rule of thumb is that you cant refreeze raw meat but you can freeze it again if it has been cooked.

So freeze once from fresh, twice if it has been cooked - I do this all the time, and we are all still here! :D
