Isn`t it funny how we have been almost brainwashed into buying expensive stuff, on expensive credit which means expensive repayments!!

Well done you....I have done the no credit thing for the last 2 years & its a particulary nice feeling in January when you know that there are no credit card bills falling on the mat.

Well done... fab feeling isn't it!!!
I have 4 children, ranging from 3 years old, to 21, and was very worried they'd get next to nothing. careful skruimping on grocery shopping, and selling stuff at car boots and selling bits on ebay meant they all had a very good christmas!

My parents gave us vouchers to decorate our old, tired lounge, which is fab :)

I made jams and chutneys for all the relatives, and handmade all my cards :)

    Merry Christmas :)

  • Fab feeling isn't it? We had a fab christmas and I know that when I look at our bank balance that is it, and nothing to come out towards it next year. No nasty credit card bills yay!! :D
  • well done hope the future goes as well for you
  • Hi there,
I just wanted to say how fantastic and relieved I feel after getting through xmas too. I have had little sleep for the last few months as we have always got thru xmas on credit as do most people. But after really working hard and budgeting carefully since May, we did it and there was no shortage of gifts. The only thing I cut back on was gifts for family members other than my kids. I explained to them (altho I really didn't have to as they understand) that for this year only I would be buying for my own kids only and it worked out great. I also did the sealed pot challenge and was surprised at how much I got from that:D
I am now already saving for xmas 2010 and I am certainly not dreading it;)

Got to agree with everyone, first Christmas without credit, but what a great feeling knowing that everything is paid for, no dreading the bills from the CC companies. Happy new year everyone.....
