No buying new toiletries etc until.....

I've finished that bottle of perfume!
I went a bit mad and sprayed all the the remainder on me. Somehow, it was more than I realised, so now I must smell like a Parisian brothel! Oh well...:rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I just bought 4 bags of Reece's Pieces and the week's quota of juice and cereal then scarpered before I gave in to temptation
I want some of those, oh yummy!I had some lovely gifts at Christmas, I enjoyed the Boots 75% sale and then I sorted out the drawer under my bed yesterday. Oh dear....:o:o
My name is Luxor4t and I am a toiletries-aholic.
It all started when I first joined mse in the [STRIKE]good[/STRIKE]..I mean bad, bad, bad old days of Boots glitches and Tesco H&B booklets.
Suddenly I had substantial piles of wonderful toiletries (as well as lots of Boots & tesco points).
The offers and glitches continued and so did I.
You know the rest.
I have designated quite a lot of the Boots 75% sale stuff as birthday & Xmas 2010 presents.
I have put some bath & shower gels to donate to chapel.
I know that DD will relieve me of some of the face wipes.....
BUT
enough is enough so I'm joining this challenge (and so is DH who never buys any toiletries but will just have to get used to smelling like a flower after showering or bathing)

My mate came over the other night with a big tub of 'Fresh' bath stuff for me (it includes bath bombs, body lotion, shower gel etc), so that is more to add to the stash! I love the smell of it all though, so will look forward to using this stuff in time (I used the bath crystals this morning).
I have one more application of a night creme left and looking forward to throwing the tub in the bin tonight (I have had it for ages). I had to throw away a couple of products including a Nivea light facial moisturiser because it just sat on my skin and didn't get absorbed, I hate the feeling that you can rub your moisturiser off your face. I also threw away an almost finished facial gel wash (Nivea too I think) because I didn't like the way it cleaned my skin - I have been quite spotty (which I am sure isn't what you want from a face wash)! I have almost finished my M&S aloe bubble bath and can't wait to throw that bottle in the bin too!!
I have been exfoliating and body buttering away and my skin feels amazing and smells so good! I love actually using my products and not just hoarding them!!
Me too, isn't it funny how we enjoy our stash more now that we are using it to the full and not just adding to it all the time? It's good to take the time to pamper ourselves...Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Dumb Blonde news! I have packaged up some half-used toiletries and brought them to my mum's. I've put them in a pretty basket in my room at her house, so I don't have to keep carrying stuff there and back when I stay over (I am so daft sometimes!). This also frees up some space at my place, yay! :T:T:T
Tara, that is a good idea.:cool:
Remember, free space does not mean you can buy more stuff:eek::eek:I went away and now I'm back.:j:j0 -

Yes, bnot a good iea to use anything that doesn't suit...but finding an other use is more MSE than bishing. The nivea might have made a decent hand wash, and the moisturiser, if you get another that doesn't suit, can go on your feet and ankles or....even, on decollotage...I often find thicker body butters too thick to easily work in to tht area, so would use an unliked fcial moisturiser that way0 -
Well today I've used up:
little me organics foam bodywash (chamomile and lavender)
I love this - smells delish, and I don't even normally like Lavender! Got it at 50p at the clearance shelf in boots, so I think they were discontinuing? Would buy again if I found it though.
Anna Sui Flight of Fancy body lotion
Love the smell, it came with the perfume so I'll count it as £2 for the stash. Not sure if I would specifically go out and buy it itself but wouldn't refuse it if it comes with the perfume again
Ghost deep night miniature. I was drying my hair and the little blooming monkey emptied a half full bottle that I had sitting out to use up
WIBA? Definitely, it's my favourite perfume - dd even said she was buying it for me for Christmas 'cos it's my fave. She's 3
£162 used (or wasted! little monkey's walking around smelling like a perfume factory )It all started when I first joined mse in the [STRIKE]good[/STRIKE]..I mean bad, bad, bad old days of Boots glitches and Tesco H&B booklets.

Scrubs - well my earlier justification of buying the S&G scrub because my Sanctuary one is coming close to the end proved a bit of a red herring.....I found an Avon Planet Spa brown sugar scrub (from Mum at christmas - how did I forget that so fast?!) and a tub of Crabtree & Evelyn body scrub that was also a gift for xmas - same thing really.
The first body scrub I used was the Planet Spa brown sugar one and I really liked it. Not sure if it was because it was the first one I used but the couple I've used since just don't seem to feel the same. I have a couple more left to use up but would probably buy this again when I needed to.Did owe £9,951.96

OK - own up - which one of you b***ers snuck into my bathroom and put another tube of sweet snuggles body cream AND a scrub there????
yuk, yuk, yuk. runny, not scrub-like at all, and just nasty. Havent changed my opinion of it since the first go.... though at least its almost gone (well, i think it has.... )Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0
