bidfun.co.uk ? is this too good to be true?

Hi

Our playstation broke last night - the dreaded red flashing light - and sony want £120 to look at it and probably replace it with a refurb!

so - been frantically looking for bargains - this machine stops my husband from venturing to the pub every weekend!!!

i have found this site - selling at the moment a ps3 120gb for £76
it is however a bidding site - not sure what it could go to but still cheap
anyone ever heard of this site?

Thanks
Thank you

    Thanks

There are quite a few of these types of site on the net. You basically bid the lowest amount on the screen. If yours is the lowest at the end of the auction then you win at that price. However you usually find with one second to go, somebody bids, so it goes back to the 2/3 minute count down. Then when you get to one second again, somebody else bids. Oh yes - it costs you to bid!!!

  • My partners broke the week before Xmas 20 months old, Sony picked it up last Friday back today. It cost £99, however contacted PC World where we bought it and they are crediting the £99 back.

    So he's really happy!!
  • If you ask around your local pub there will be someone in there that can fix it for about £25.00 - £30.00 ( its normally the people that sell the copy games ), please dont start on me about copy games - i don't buy them but have had my PS3 fixed by one of these people and it saved me money - hope this helps

i'm not sure of this site but tehre are quite a few where you have to pay to bid. 5 bids cost you about £5. And each bid sets the ending time back. so you can't wait to bid at the last minute. so although the actual price may only be £76 you may pay alot more than that for the bids.
I'm playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order!
