Am pleased to say that I gave my second brown memory charm to my bfs Nanna this weekend and she loved it
She said its perfect for her as she struggles with clasps so the style of the memory wire bracelet means she doesnt have to worry about that.
I had a couple of spare hours last night so I had a play with the last two memory wire coils Ive got left of my stash.
I decided to go with a pattern on this ones. I initially started doing a random order like my two brown ones but after putting a few beads on they didnt seem to be matching as well so I started again and went for a pattern instead. I love the outcome of this one, in purple and white.
I had some lovely pale blue beads I wanted to use so did the below bracelet. However the beads were far too heavy and the wire was falling away from the wrist so I am going to have to undo it and start again. I think I am going to buy some small white or matching blue beads or seed beads to space out the larger beads more. Maybe I will even save a few and attempt some matching earrings!0 -

Thanks KandiI think the top one I may have to keep for myself hehe I am very pale though so not sure if the white beads go with my complexion yet!
I cant wait to get some beads to make a bracelet for the blue beads as I am totally in love with them!0 -
Afternoon All,
Just discovered this thread today and have enjoyed looking at your posts.
I have started making jewellery and it is so much fun, i am a little bit addicted to ebay and buying beads but I try not to let it cost too much and its loads of fun!
Will post some pictures when I have them and i look forward to following this thread!:p:p
Welcome to the thread VikkiJD
Im looking forward to seeing your pics, I love looking at everyones makes0 -
Oh Im having real problems with the size of the pictures!
What do you all use to put pictures into the thread and into your blogs?
I am using photobucket and am using the resize option to try and choose a size that means the pictures dont take over the thread and can be seen on my blog posts. I changed the size to small the other day and it went too small. I chose large before for the white and purple one and although its an ok size on this thread it is still too big on my blog. So I chose to resize the blue and white one to medium and now its gone hugeeeeeeeeeee. I have no experienced using photobucket and its getting on my nerves now!0 -
Giggles - I love those pale beads you have used. I have not made jewellery for a few weeks now (I am addicted to sewing at the minute) but think I might give it another go soon. I just joined your blog and am looking forward to your new creations. You can stand there and agonize........

Giggles, those are lovely bracelets for your first attempts.
Given how everyone has been talking about Folksy lately, has anyone tried (or even heard) of Dawanda? It's like a European version of Etsy. I had a shop on there a couple of years ago when I was selling my 'plastic' jewellery and sold a handful of bits without a huge amount of effort. I've been gettting more regular newsletters from them so I thought I'd give them a go again as it seems to be gaining popularity.
The newsletters go out to over half a million people apparently, and there are no listing fees at the moment so I thought I'd give it a go as I have nothing to lose but my time. I'll put the link to my shop in my link so if anyone wants to investigate the site they can.

Isnt that funny how I have pretty much decided to follow the same pathway as you hehe I have a few questions concerning the cluster bracelets that I just wanted to clear up/get tips on before I place an order for things, would you mind if I DM'd you to ask some advice? I wont be placing an order till next week anyway so theres no rush. Need to wait for payday haha
I LOVE the bracelets you have put on your blog. Its good to bear in mind that some people dont like flamboyant jewellery but still want to make a statement and I think those bracelets ae perfect for that!
Thankyou so muchYou can PM me if you'd like but I'm not sure how much help I'll be, I'm still learning as I go
but I'm happy to help
