I have worked for the same employer for over 10 years - on this months payslip my tax code has the letters NONCU after it. Previously the letters have been CUMUL. Can you explain what this means?

NONCU means non-cumulative
CUMUL means cumulative
This website explains quite nicely what that means: http://www.paypershop.com/faq/xmean.html0 -
It sounds as if HMRc have altered you tax code to a wk1 basis. They would dio this to collect tax which was owed to them and they would have issued you with a coding notice explaining the alteration.
Any of that ring any bells? The only thing that is constant is change.0
