Crafting for Valentines day....

I was thinking of the next occasion that lends itself to crafting and i rthink it is Valentines day.
I know there has been talk of maybe an alternative to Snowman Soup - with strawberry milkshake powder, maybe a hamper.
Are there anymore ideas?

Last year Tesco had nets of choc ladybirds - that I used aslovebugs in little boxes. They also had chocolate hearts. I am hoping they do them again.
I am also going to make little sweetie bags with jelly lips (from WHSmith or Thorntons) for valentine kisses.
I am always on the look out for sweets that I can build an idea around .....
Just before Christmas I got some little jars (4 for £1) that I am also hoping to fill with suitable vaklentines sweets
As soon as I have made something I will put a pic here and also blog it.

Last year I made a padded felt heart hanging thingie that you can hang from a door handle. I cut 2 hearts out of red felt, added some wadding to the middle and blanket stitched round the outside in white thread with a bit of ribbon at the top to hang it with. I'd never done anything like it before (had to google blanket stitch) but it looked (and still does) pretty good.
Here's some ideas from Martha Stewart...
Heart shaped soap
Cookies
Heart shaped fudge
Bath bombs containing secret messages
Teabag
Bonbon filled heart
Felt fortune cookies - love this idea!!!
If you have any cellophane cone bags you could fill with marshmallows or other sweets and add a pretty tag. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Found a couple more...
Valentines Day Survival Kit
Jar of Hugs & Kisses
Love Coupon Booklet
Origami Fortune Teller
How about making some chocolate coated strawberries? A scrapbook of your life together so far? If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Those bath bombs in boxes and little cases look really good.0

Wow thank you for your replies!! I posted this and then say there was another thread about crafting for all occasions so i thought people would just post there. Going to look at all the links now.
I made quite a few things for Christmas (Snowman Soup, Flannel Reindeer, Journal in a jar and Reindeer food) and it was very well received so now i am looking to the next crafing occasion!0 -

These are great! I am now tempted to make something for everyone close to me which i never did in the past! I was thinking about the coupon booklet in your next post but that scares me!! Some lovely ideas for my girly friends, thankyou!0 -
