This info might be useful to you and others who aren't quite sure of the rules regarding imported goods, click on the link

I haven't bought from cdwow for a few months and it tends to be cds I buy, but I've always found that they send out items individually rather than the whole package - in other words you may well find that you could be under the rate you would pay tax at on each individual package.
The link I gave above to the official uk customs website also covers imports from Jersey and Guernsey (for example cd101 and cds or dvds from tesco).
A friend of mine has bought dvds from cdwow on many occasions in the past and he has never had to pay import duty but I have heard of people buying from North America (Canada) who usually don't pay import tax but have had to pay on the odd occasion (DVDs from Canada are cheap according to my friend but no I can't remember the websites).0 -
Forgot to say, it doesn't matter what dvd region your purchases are, import tax is based on the value of the goods0

I've been a customer of them for a few years now (and others like them) - not had any problems as the purchases are "small fry". Be carefull with cd wow though as they source their cd's from many places - as they say on their site - If you want the UK version check the tracklisting is the same, R2 DVD's though shouldn't be any problem. I believe they split larger orders into seperate dispatches to keep the value of each lower than that which could attract attention.0

CD WOW pay all customs duty for you prior to sending into the UK so you won't get charged anything for your goods no matter how much you spend
The text below is taken directly from the CD WOW website
Items over the UK HM Customs & Excise VAT Personal Import allowances
Orders containing items over the UK Customs & Excise VAT personal import allowance are sent via Hong Kong Post, our postal agent.
Hong Kong Post arranges the payment of VAT and or any other taxes and duties which may apply to UK H M Customs and Excise on your behalf FROM THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID. You will not be asked to pay any additional sums upon delivery / collection.
