Which Credit Card to pay off 2k of debt!?

Hi again,

I did post something similar to this in the Credit Card forum but had little reply.

What I would like help with is:

I have around 2k of debt and plan to pay this off with a credit card allowing me to pay this off at my own (faster) speed, the question is Which card should i apply for?, someone did mention the M&S card, but are there other better options?

(sorry if i may be repeating myself)

    Hi

I'd recommend you look at Martin's articles on Credit Cards, as it lists the best 0% cards around the at the moment. If you're going to pay it off within 6 months I think there might be a no fee one around. Anything longer and you're looking at 2% fees, some with a max of £50.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

What kind of time scale have you set yourself? Is getting a CC really your best option? Obviously, if it's in high interest now, then it should be moved, perhaps if you plan to pay it off over a long time then a low life of balance card would be better? Ask said, Martin's article on CCs is invaluable!

I plan to pay this off over 3-4 months, but I plan to check that thread soon, its just the whole thing is a little baffling right now.
