I'm buying a house soon, next month. I have no furniture and was wondering whether to get myself a credit card, with 0% interest, and buy the majority of the furniture now. I could buy the majority of the furniture with the savings I have left over from my deposit, but I was thinking its better to have money in the bank in case of any unforeseen problems that may arise.
I know nothing about credit cards, as I've never had one, so which is the best one to go for and what offers do they have as I have heard that some "give" you money for using them?
Thanks

The Tesco Clubcard Credit Card gives you 0% on purchases for 12 months and clubcard points.0 -
Credit cards can be very useful if you don't get tempted to build up debt on them.
If you haven't ever had a credit card then it's unlikely that you will get a 0% interest card or one with 'cash back' as they usually only are given to people with good credit records including a history of repaying CC on time.
If you want to start using a CC then it's probably best to ask you own bank initially, use it only for things you would anyway buy, pay in full each month and set up a DD to make sure you don't fotget.
Once you have established a good credit history using a CC then you are more likely to get one with good benefits.0 -
I'm disciplined enough to not abuse the card, was just thinking it would be better to buy furniture with 0% interest and still have some savings left in the bank.
I'll have a look at Tesco's card;)0
