Anyone been out to Supermarkets this morning?

Snow stopped us shopping last night, which was the plan so we have to go this morning if our roads are ok. We are trying to get into Gloucester.

Wondered what the queues were like and if the shelves are empty!

I have had a bad back for the last two days and just taken some pain killers so i am gearing up but already dreading it.

Sainsbury's Tonbridge was bliss. Full shelves (apart from Turkeys) and fairly empty.

Asda in Canterbury was fairly quiet this morning, I even got a disabled parking space and I usually have to wait ages for one!

Thanks for your replies, it was quiet when we got to Gloucester and went to Sainsbury's about 2pm. No turkeys apart from 6 free range/organic ones and ended up paying £35 !!!!! for a norfolk Black free range for 6 people. I nearly cried but hubby was getting a bit stressed.
We had to got to Tesco as we couldn't get everything at Sainsbury's and it was a bit manic.
We couldn't see any turkeys there. The boxes of lager etc were a bit thin on the ground.

Sat here now in pj's with a hot water bottle on my back watching the big bang theory.

    Merry christmas to all.

  • Good stock at our Asda today - considering it has been shut for the past 2 days because the lorrys couldn't get up the delivery ramp. Not a lot busier than an average Thursday lunchtime.
