Advice please

hi
i applied for mortgage in oct09 its been approved however we were in a chain the seller couldnt agree for a date and it got delayed a lot.

but now seller has agreed to move into rental in january and there is a better interest rate from the same lender could i ask for that new rate??

    You could ask.

    They may insist on a new product fee though.

    If they do, make sure the lower rate saves you more than the cost of the product fee!

    we took 2 yr fixed rate as first time buyer now on the same 2yr fixed the rate is low and could save around 100 pounds per month.

    will ask them tomorrow
