I was in Bristol Brislington Tesco this morning and a lady was taking a Maybelline lipstick back because it had a sign saying half price but it went through at full price and at Tesco Brislington they had a big display of the £3.47 (Andrew Collinge?) shampoos and conditioners with all the buy one get one free sels from the last promotion. Didn't have time to buy them but for people who didn't manage to get the vouchers it would be a bonus. Opposite the pharmacy counter

Just had my 1st R&R this evening and made sure it was worth it. Went to look for the BT Synthesis phone above and could not find it. Found SEL on SanDisk memory cards out of date 13/08/08. Took a couple different ones to the counter, asked for the price, scanned £49.99, SEL £47.98, bingo! Didn't buy then. Went back and cleaned the shelf, picked up 4 1GB memory cards. After paying £199.88, went to the car, took a deep breath and returned to break my virginity (in R&R). CS woman seemed shocked at the scale of this. She asked one of the staff to go with me to show the SEL. He explained the R&R policy to me and I acted as I was very surprised and pleased. Staff took the SEL to CS desk. They phoned manager and he authorised payment in full. But then they sent another member of staff to me, lovely lady, explaining the policy is we don't pay out in this case as the SEL shows date 13/08/08 and this covers us only to pay if we get it wrong up until the 13th. I asked for her name and said I would contact Head Office with your name..... and guess what she started to retreat saying that's what I've been taught but the manager is on his way to see you. Waited another 15 mins. Manager came and he started waffling about the date on the SEL. I countered him by showing the policy at the exit door, and mentioning what the staff had quoted me earlier. Eventually after 45 mins. at CS desk i got my 1st R&R £199.98, 3 SanDisk MMCmobile 1GB memory cards and 1 San Disk memory stick pro duo 1GB memory card. It was late but well worth it.

Got my first R&R today but it has really made me laugh:

Cinzano SpritzUp! SEL £4.99, scanned through at £5.99, R&R no problem.

I'll be honest, it's not something I would have bought and my partner now thinks I'm a !!!!!! (lol) but there was something really satisfying about it :-)

Just got an on Rimmel mascara R&R at Crooksfoot Ashford. Waffled merrily on, then realised I'd put it on the discussion board. So, will start again. Rimmel have mascara on offer at £2.79ish, full price £4.26. It is on a plastic Rimmel display unit, with the offer embossed on it. Bought 2, one as a spare, went through the checkout at full price. Got my R&R with no problem.
There are 2 types on offer, the 100 per cent waterproof, and the lash lengthening. (I think the lash lengthening was a bit more expensive, but didn't check the price as not buying it!) Hope this helps someone, cos you've all helped & inspired me to save money.

Got some long handled loppong shears that were reduced to £1.48 but scanning at £1.98

Think someone had put them in the wrong place because the £1.98 ticket next to it was similar.

Went to CS and the snooty woman muttered to me twice (on the way back from checking the ticket) "oh, i'll refund the difference" let her carry on then right at the last seccond said "oh, I thought I got the full refund if overcharged!!!"

Sorted!!
