Good for you! I've never made a Christmas-type cake before and a chum offered me a slice of lovely fruit-cake at her home a few weeks ago and it was so delicious, a bit like a cross between fruit-cake and Christmas Pudding. I snatched the recipe from her and made some a couple days ago: no butter, no eggs and no additional sugar. I'm so pleased with it I'm taking one to my sister's for Chrissy0

looks wonderful and the baked marzipan smells divine.. i baked a bit of the leftovers to try it and it tastes like amaretti biscuit. i am so pleased! it was easy peasy0 -
If it's the chocolate christmas cake then it's absolutely delicious. I'm not a chrsitmas cake fam at all but I made this last year and it was lovely - really dark, sticky and tasty. It doesn't really taste chocolatey, just really rich and yummy. It's definitely a favourite recipe of mine
