Defrosted turkey too early I think

I heard it's a day for every 5lbs of turkey, mine is about 9lb (Will that feed 6 adults? If not I should buy another) anyways, I took it out at 2am this morning and it's full defrosted (or seems to be!) I didn't put it in the fridge though, I left it on the breakfast bar. I've put it in the fridge now. Will that still be okay to be cooked on Friday or not?

Merry Christmas, the turkey will be fine, just keep it cold and check for ice crystals to make sure it is fully defrosted on the inside. If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

Thanks so much for reassuring me. I was worried I'd cook us all "off" turkey!
It's now taking up half my fridge so should be nice and cold in there!

That may depend on how cold your kitchen is at its warmest I would think. If it was me, I think I'd cook it early, and either have it sliced cold with Christmas dinner (we've done this and as long as the veg and gravy are piping it works really well) or reheat in a little gravy. I have no scientific basis for cooking it early, just my gut feeling.0

The Turkey should be fine - i just picked up mine and its been "hung" like game for 2 weeks to develop the flavour. Keep it somewhere cold - fridge ideally if there is space. You could cook it early on Christmas eve and serve it cold if you are really worried.
Personally i think it will be fine
